Context

This project was part of my engagement with LTIMindtree. It involved the redesign of Unitrax, LTIMindtree Canada’s proprietary SaaS-based, multi-tenant transfer agency record keeping platform for Canadian financial services.


Unitrax went through a multi-year transformation program to redesign the entire platform into seven core modules.


I helped redesign 4 out of the 7 modules and 3 client-specific RFS by creating detailed UI designs and prototypes, a scalable design system, and transforming the entire user experience, going from a junior UX designer to the lead designer during the project.

Given the project's multi-year scope, multiple product modules, and complex business rules, my process was centered around close collaboration with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Subject Matter Experts to ensure our solutions were not only user-centric but also aligned with business rules and technical constraints.

To understand the opportunities for improvement, I began with a comprehensive UI and UX audit of the legacy platform. This breakdown identified key challenges, such as a complex user interface, unintuitive navigation paths, and a lengthy data entry process, which we targeted for transformation.

To define user goals, I leveraged the extensive experience of our Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Relationship Managers, and Product Owners. Through a series of collaborative workshops, we analyzed common pain points and identified the key opportunities for enhancement that would guide the new design.

I redesigned the sitemaps to consolidate screens and simplify navigation. I then collaborated with Business Analysts to map the new end-to-end user flows, which contributed to user stories for the development sprints.

I designed and prototyped many iterations of the UI, presenting my work regularly to Product, Engineering, and stakeholders. This process ensured a continuous feedback loop. I collected feedback from Product Owners and Business Analysts on the user flow and UI designs, and from the engineering teams on technical feasability.
